Recently, my three-year-old has taken a step backward in his potty training. After having done this three times before, I can say with absolute certainty that such training is my absolute least favorite part of early childhood development.
This morning, I went to check on him and make sure he was still dry and to remind him to go if needed. He proudly said he already went and that he “flushed and put the seat down.” To be perfectly frank, I was quite certain he was pulling my leg until I walked over and saw the puddle in front of the toilet which revealed he was indeed telling me the truth.
I laughed and thought to myself how the little messes in life are often times what lets us know we are on the right track.
If you are struggling with a messy situation today, trust that God know, He sees, He will walk you through it, and that the messier it is, most likely the more on the right track you are!
