About Me

I was born in Seattle, Washington in 1971 to a Seattle Police Officer and Stay At Home Mom. After graduating from Issaquah High School in 1989, I attended, and graduated from, Central Washington University, with a degree in Sociology and double minors in Psychology and Minority Studies. Upon graduation I worked in family services for Head Start.

My first marriage began and ended in Ellensburg, where we were blessed with two amazing children. Following my divorce, I bumped into my old love, and Chris and I were married in the sands of Mexico in 2001. Our family has grown to 4 biological children of my own, and I have two beautiful stepdaughters.

Professionally, I have worked in myriad settings, and am currently a Lifeforming Growth Coach and budding blogger. Aside from writing, my free time is consumed with my amazing family and friends. I also love serving my church (www.therockchurch.info) on the worship and prayer teams, and in the classrooms of TRC Kids.

Having been so richly blessed since receiving Jesus as my personal Savior, my passion is to serve, love, and lead others to His gracious and extravagant love.

I love spending time in the Word, daily devotions and friendly conversations over coffee, running, hiking and practicing yoga. My husband, Chris, and I also love conquering mountains. We’ve climbed Mt St Helens twice together, and I’ve made one attempt at Mt Adams. As with nearly everything, it’s a journey.

My blog is a reflection of my daily, and often random, thoughts and inspirations. My motivation is love, and a strong desire to honor my God through every aspect of my life. Never forgetting from where He has brought me, my heart is to see all people come to a place of fulfillment, freedom and restoration through an active and relevant relationship with Jesus Christ.

I pray that if you visit this page once, or once a day, that your life or perspective, would be in some way changed for the better.
