This weekend is our church’s women’s conference, JILL. I am so excited! Every year is an opportunity to serve others (whether in setup or execution), and a time of refreshing and fellowship with my sisters in Christ.
One of the things I love the best about the culture of my church is the sisterhood factor. Pastor Melinda does an amazing job of leading her ladies in a spirit of openness and acceptance. Any cattiness, competition or gossip brought into our relationships is soon squelched – each of enjoys the atmosphere of acceptance far too much to allow such things to live here.
If you are anywhere near the Monroe, Washington area this weekend, do yourself a huge favor and come spend some time with us! It’s not too late to attend the conference – you can pay at the door – and you will be so glad you did! Amazing speakers and an opportunity to shop for shoes and handbags with all donations going to help in the fight against human trafficking. To be able to come together to be refreshed and encouraged, and to stand together to make a difference in this world…well, that’s what sisterhood is all about!
